Releasing an axie is a process of sending your axie into the wild. It essentially removes the axie from your inventory. As a parting gift, the released axie leaves behind materials called Mementos, which are used in parts evolution. The number and class of mementos left behind depends on the level of the released axie and its corresponding body parts.
Step 1: On the axie management page of an axie you want to release, click the Release button.
Step 2: If this is you first time releasing, you need to sign a transaction to Approve the marketplace to use your axies. After the approval, click Release and say your farewells.
Note: Releasing an axie is permanent. That means you won’t be able to use the released axie anymore.
