Overview

Cursed Coliseum is a game mode that challenges players to battle against other players in a gauntlet-style twist. The name comes from the mode’s actual mechanic: two of an axie’s body parts are removed (cursed) and trainers must replace these parts with cards from a random selection. The objective is to secure 7 victories before accumulating 2 losses. The session ends when the player wins 7 matches or loses in 2.

Rules and Mechanics

Entry Fee

In order to play in the Cursed Coliseum, players need to have at least 1 Coliseum Chest slots available and pay an entry fee with gold (for Normal Coliseum) or SLP (for Premium Coliseum) for a session.

• Coliseum Chests are rewarded after a session ends.
• Coliseum Chests has a 12-hour unlock time.
• The limit for how many sessions a player can do depends on the number of Coliseum Chest slots available.
• This means players can do up to 4 sessions every 24 hours as long as they open their Coliseum Chest after they’re unlocked.

Session Rules

• Players can play for only 1 session at a time.
• Players cannot change the axies in their team for the duration of the session.
• Only axies present in the trainer's Ronin wallet address before 00:00 UTC of that day are eligible.
• Once the trainer loses 2 times, or wins 7 times: the session will end.

• Lastly, the player needs to complete the session within 5 days. If not, the player will lose all the pending rewards.

Game Mechanics

Cursed Coliseum is more than a name for a game mode: there are actual curses in the Coliseum! These chaotic curses will take theorycrafting, team comps, and overall strategies to the next level.
