Coming soon for the Crown Jewels of Lunacia

Collectible axies have been thriving ever since we introduced Meta Morph. Jihoz’s visionary triple threat framework is coming to life — rare and aesthetic axies are taking center stage in the Origins Arena with their new found gameplay utility.

The time has come for the Crown Jewels of Lunacia to receive an exclusive blessing. Soon, Mystic and Agamogenesis axies will be able to transform their body class in Origins. That means they’ll be the only axies able to adapt to any meta. If everything goes according to plan, this will go LIVE on September 25th.

Class Morphing Details

This feature will be exclusive to Mystic and Agamogenesis axies. Similar to morphing parts of an axie, players can change the class of their axie by using class badges and SLP.

Why We Introduced Class Morphing

In Origins, understanding the meta is key to becoming a top player. However, the meta changes often and it can be a challenge to stay on top of it. Class Morphing introduces the ultimate tool to adapt to any meta. Here’s how we plan to respect class rarities within Mystic axies without disrupting the balance of the game:

When we first announced Class Morph, Mystic axie owners pointed out that Rare Class axies (Bird, Bug, and Reptile) would become equal to Normal Class axies (Aqua, Beast, and Plant) in Origins. They asked us how we would address this new dynamic.

In terms of gameplay utility, there is no more room to provide extra benefits to the Rare Class Mystic axies and Agamogenesis axies without interfering with the balance of the game. As Meta Morph is about bringing versatility to collectible axies and not directly increasing their power level, we do not want to go the power level route.
