What We Aim to Achieve This Season
Archetype Balancing and Improved Variety
As always, we will adjust over-performing teams and try to buff underperforming or unpopular teams.
We’re also introducing a range of new rune effects to create entirely new teams or make existing teams viable in more eras.
Example: The <Sleep> team, which was only competitive in the Rare era, can now compete in the Epic era by upgrading <Forest Aroma> to Epic.
Some runes are more powerful than others of the same rarity, so we’re reducing their power and making them upgradeable to avoid removing them from teams that rely on those runes.
Player Progression in Each Era
Currently, players need to acquire 2 or 3 runes at the start of an era, and most things are settled from there because many teams require a specific rune to be playable. This makes player progression in each era feel very steep.
We want to provide players with a better start by making it easier to obtain runes that make their teams viable. As players progress through the era, they will earn more runes to upgrade and become fully powerful, resulting in smoother player progression.
The measures we’re taking to achieve this include balancing crafting material distribution, mint fees, and the scrap shop system. The changes to these will be shared as we get closer to the season launch.

The Preseason will be action packed with all new upgraded runes coming into the arena. To help test each era thoroughly during the preseason and help gather important data for analysis, we will host 3 Preseason tournament for all 3 eras for more robust testing.
